Back in 2011, I had the pleasure to work with Cid Pearlman and photograph The Drowning Poems, created with and performed by Damara Ganley, Molly Katzman and Daniel Bear Davis. We created some great images that reflected the talented ability of the dancers, and the wondeful choreography. Last week, I was able to see the next incarnation of the performance, complete with a new cast, arrangement and lighting. While only a sample of the work in progress, I’m really happy with how these images came out. Working with a very focused color spectrum, I feel like the images draw the viewer into the arrangement, and capture the mood of the performance well. Enjoy!
